Your Checklist

Here are important actions to take as a result of your big event.

step 01

Contact your local HR representative

They can help you update your martial status as well as your employee profile if you change your name, address or emergency contact and update your tax withholding, if necessary.

step 02

Review your options and compare costs

Does your spouse/domestic partner already have coverage? Nestlé offers four medical plans. Each offer similar coverage but differ in how much you pay per paycheck, your deductible and what type of savings or spending account you can use.

step 03

Enroll within 60 days

You must make these changes within 60 days of your marriage or domestic partnership. The effective date of the change goes into effect the day the qualifying life event is reported/processed. Log in to nestle.ehr.com or call the Nestlé Benefits Service Center at 1-877-637-2255, option #2.

step 04

Update your beneficiaries and dependents

for both employee programs and outside accounts (such as savings) if appropriate. Documentation will be needed.

step 05

Revise your Health Savings Account (HSA)

by logging in to nestle.ehr.com. If you’re already enrolled in an HSA, you can update your contribution at any time.

step 06

Remember to submit proper documentation

In order to add a spouse or dependent to your benefits coverage, proper documentation must be submitted within 60 days of the qualifying life event. However, no documents are required in order to drop an individual from your benefits coverage.
