Parental Leave

No matter how you’re growing your family, Nestlé’s Parental Leave benefit gives you the time to focus on your new addition as soon as they arrive.

Overview

Nestlé offers paid time off through the Parent Support Policy and other resources to help you on this exciting (and exhausting) journey.

  • Primary caregivers can take up to 18 consecutive weeks of company-paid leave.
  • Non-primary caregivers can take up to 4 consecutive weeks of company-paid leave.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Parent Support Leave (whether Primary Caregiver or Parental Leave), pursuant to this policy, employees must:

  • Be a Regular employee working full time — (regularly scheduled to work at least thirty (30) hours weekly);
  • Have been employed for at least twenty-six (26) weeks of continuous service at Nestlé prior to the date of the child’s birth or placement; and
  • Must have submitted all paperwork required to initiate and substantiate the need for leave within the time frame(s) set forth in this Policy. Failure to submit timely requests and notice as stated herein may result in delay or denial of leave and payment of the commensurate benefits.

How To Use

To submit a leave request, contact HR at least 30 days prior to your leave start date unless unforeseeable. Please visit myNestlé to review the detailed policy.

You may be eligible for a phased return during the last eight weeks.

At certain locations, designated primary caregivers may have the option to return to work on a reduced work schedule for the final eight weeks of caregiver leave. This means both you and your newborn baby can adjust to your return to work.
